Welcome to Il Melo Residence, in Porto Torres, just a short distance from Stintino and Alghero.

On the outskirts of the town of Porto Torres, right where the road ends and the rock takes over once again, amid the perfumes of the Mediterranean maquis and the brine of the Gulf of Asinara, is where we find Il Melo Residence.

Just a ten-minute walk will bring you to the sea, which in this tract of coastline has carved into the sedimentary rock all manner of circular shapes, tunnels, small fjords, rock bridges, caves, here and there, short stretches of beach.

Less than a mile from Il Melo, we come to Provincial Road 81, which follows the coastline eastwards, taking in Platamona, Castelsardo, Costa Paradiso and Santa Teresa di Gallura.

On the other slope, shortly after the little church at Balai Lontano curves begin to appear along the beautiful coast that comes to an end in the seafaring hub of Porto Torres, a small town with incredible hidden treasures.

Stintino is less than half-an-hour’s drive away, Alghero is 40 minutes away, while just 60 km away is one of Sardinia’s most well-preserved nuraghi (prehistoric stone towers), A plethora of different places can be reached in next to no time from here.
